A bad shower ruins the start of the day, weak pressure, water that runs cold when someone opens a tap, or a valve that has started leaking behind the wall. Most of it is fixable once you know whether it is the valve, the pressure, the plumbing or the shower itself.

Paul repairs mixer and thermostatic showers, sorts pressure and temperature problems, and fits new showers properly, sealed and safe, whether that is a like-for-like swap or a full new setup as part of a bathroom.

Diagnosed, then fixed or fitted

  1. 01

    Work out what is wrong

Weak pressure, temperature swings and leaks all have different causes. Paul checks whether it is the valve, the plumbing, the pressure or the shower unit itself.

  2. 02

    Repair or replace, honestly

If a repair makes sense he does that. If the shower is old and failing he tells you straight and fits a new one rather than patching something on its last legs.

  3. 03

    Fitted safe and sealed

A new shower is fitted with the right controls, sealed properly so water cannot get behind it, and tested for temperature, pressure and leaks.

A typical job

A typical shower job

A shower keeps turning cold whenever a tap runs downstairs and the pressure is weak. Paul fits a thermostatic valve that holds the temperature steady and sorts the pressure issue on the supply, and the morning shower is finally reliable and safe instead of a cold-water lottery.

A fair fixed price, agreed with Paul before he starts. No call-out fee bolted on the end, no hidden extras. If a job turns out bigger than it looked, he stops and tells you first.

Straight answers

Shower repair & installation questions, answered

Why does my shower keep going cold?

Usually because an old mixer valve cannot hold temperature when water is drawn elsewhere. A thermostatic valve fixes that by keeping the temperature steady. Paul fits them regularly.

Can you fix low shower pressure?

Often yes, once the cause is found, it might be the valve, a partial blockage, or the way the system is set up. Paul diagnoses it and tells you the honest fix.

Can you fit a new shower and enclosure?

Yes. Paul supplies and fits new showers, trays, enclosures and screens, either as a standalone job or as part of a full bathroom.
