Central heating · Liverpool & Knowsley
Cold radiators, a noisy pump or a house that never gets warm? Paul gets your heating working the way it should.
A heating system that limps along, with some rads red-hot and others stone cold, is usually fixable without ripping everything out. Paul knows Liverpool houses and their heating systems inside out after 40 years, so he can tell quickly whether you need a small fix, a balance and flush, or a proper upgrade.
From a single cold radiator to a full system, it is all central heating to Paul, and it is all done by a Gas Safe registered engineer (221708), so the boiler and gas side is covered too, not just the pipework.
Getting your house warm
01
Work out what is actually wrong
Cold rads can be air, sludge, a tired pump, a stuck valve or an unbalanced system. Paul finds the real cause instead of guessing.
02
The right fix for the problem
That might be bleeding and balancing, a power flush, a new pump or valve, or extending the system. He tells you what it needs and why.
03
Tested warm, room by room
The job is not done until the rads are heating evenly and the house is warm. Paul checks it properly before he leaves.
No surprises
A typical job
Upstairs radiators are cold while downstairs is roasting. Paul finds the system is full of sludge and out of balance, flushes the affected circuit, balances the rads so heat gets shared evenly, and adds inhibitor to protect it. The whole house heats properly again, and the boiler stops working so hard.
A fair fixed price, agreed with Paul before he starts. No call-out fee bolted on the end, no hidden extras. If a job turns out bigger than it looked, he stops and tells you first.

Straight answers
Usually sludge collecting in the bottom of the radiator, which stops it heating fully. A flush or, for a bad one, a power flush clears it. Paul can tell you which you need.
Not always. If it is just trapped air, bleeding and balancing sorts it. If the system is full of black sludge and rads are cold, a power flush is the answer. Paul gives you the honest view.
Yes. Paul adds radiators to rooms that need more heat and moves them when you are redecorating or refitting a room.
Yes. Paul is Gas Safe registered, so unlike a plumber who only touches the pipework, he can work on the boiler and gas side of your heating as well.
