An immersion heater is the electric element that heats the water in a hot water cylinder, either as the main hot water or as a backup to the boiler. When it fails you get no hot water from the tank, or it never gets properly hot, and a stuck thermostat can send your electricity bill through the roof by heating constantly.
Paul diagnoses whether it is the element or the thermostat that has gone, replaces the right part, and checks the cylinder and controls are working as they should. If you are relying on the immersion because the boiler is down, he can sort that side too as a Gas Safe engineer.

No hot water usually means a burnt-out element; water that heats non-stop or not enough usually means the thermostat. Paul checks which it is.

The failed element or thermostat is replaced with the correct part, fitted and sealed properly on the cylinder.

A household on a cylinder suddenly has no hot water and the boiler is fine. Paul tests the immersion, finds the element has burnt out, fits a new one and a fresh thermostat, sets it to a safe temperature and checks it heats properly.
